Thip's House
Sustainability
Miss Weenakorn has lived in Karon for the past 15 years and loves the life style, fresh air and atmosphere of the beach town. Originally from Buriram, Miss Weenakorn worked in Bangkok prior to relocating to Karon. After years in the city and dealing with all the pressures that city life brings including the crazy peak hour traffic jams in Bangkok, the pollution and fast, stressful pace of life, Miss Weenakorn decided this was not for her and moved south to the beaches, falling in love with Karon shortly after arriving.
Caring for destination
This accommodation provider has taken action to address one or more issues (whether environmental, social or cultural) which will contribute positively to the long term viability of the destination and hence their site displays a Caring for the destination rating.
Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:
Energy Reduction.
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Conscious of the ever depleting environment and natural resources, management of Thip's House encourages guests to minimize the use of energy when it's not necessary. Each room is fixed with a sign above key power outlets as a friendly reminder to turn off the air conditioner and lights when not in the room. By encouraging guests to use energy wisely, Thip's House is helping to preserve energy resources and reduce pollution caused by air conditioning units. By staying at Thip's House and turning off unnecessary appliances and lights, especially when not in the room, you can help to reduce your carbon footprint.
